Astra Tech, ledende leverandør av omfattende løsninger til implantatbehandling, er nå glade for å kunngjøre nok en utvidelse i utvalget av Atlantis™ distanser. Vi leverer nå også distanser til implantatene NobelActive™NP 3.5 og RP 4.3, 5.0, til kunder i Europa, Australia og Nord-Amerika. 

Astra Tech leverer pasientspesifikke distanser i fire ulike materialer, inkludert titan, gullfarget titan, hvit zirconia og farget zirconia. 

Ved å levere Atlantis distanser til NobelActive™ implantatene styrker  Astra Tech sin ledende posisjon ytterligere, som leverandør av pasientspesifikke distanser til alle store implantatsystem. Dette tilskuddet er det siste i en serie Atlantis distanser utviklet for nye implantat-plattformer, slik som Straumann™ Bone Level implantatene. Astra Tech planlegger å introdusere ytterligere plattformer og materialer for Atlantis™ i løpet av 2010.

Femårs-oppfølgingsstudier på OsseoSpeed ™ implantater bekrefter de vellykkede resultatene vist i tidligere studier. 

Femårs-data ble studert av Dr. Steveling og medarbeidere ved Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery ved Heidelberg-universitetet i Tyskland. De konkluderer med at OsseoSpeed™ implantatet viser svært gode resultater også for kombinasjonen tidlig belastning og kompromitterte kasus.

Astra Tech, en av markedslederne innen dental implantologi, kunngjør sin strategiske allianse med Dental Wings. Den canadiske leverandøren av CAD / CAM-løsninger er spesialisert på utvikling av 3D-skannere. Samarbeidet starter tidlig i 2010 og brukere av Dental Wings scannerløsning, får dermed mulighet til å scanne og sende filer til Astra Techs design- og produksjonsentra for Atlantis ™ pasientspesifikke distanser til alle de store implantatsystemene.

The latest CAD/CAM technology for patient‐specific abutments is now gaining ground on the European dental market. The Swedish medical device company Astra Tech AB, a subsidiary of AstraZeneca, is introducing the Atlantis™ solution for all major implant systems.

Astra Tech challenges the current standard in marginal bone maintenance and sets a new standard implying only 0.3 mm of bone loss for a successful implant. Also, Astra Tech launches Atlantis™, a unique method of producing patient-specific abutments based on the appearance of the final tooth, in Europe.

“Follow-up research among patients consistently shows a marginal bone level reduction of just 0.4 mm or less for Astra Tech dental implants, a performance indicator at least three times superior to the industry norm. The findings involve hundreds of individual cases and are remarkable in their consistency,” says Lyndon Cooper, Professor of Dentistry in the Department of Prosthodontics at the University of North Carolina, who has performed one of the studies.

3M ESPE and Astra Tech AB, a leader and innovator in the dental implant industry, announce a global partnership to provide Astra Tech’s Atlantis™ patient-specific abutments to 3M ESPE Lava™ customers. The two companies have developed an interface which will enable the Lava™ Scan ST Design System to communicate directly with Astra Tech’s Atlantis technology.

Thousands of delegates from 23 countries are expected to attend the second Astra Tech World Congress, held June 4-7 at the newly opened Gaylord National Resort & Conference Center in Washington, DC.

The Swedish medical device company Astra Tech, a subsidiary of AstraZeneca, continues expanding on the dental implant market by acquiring its Japanese distributor, Denics International Co. Ltd., with revenues of USD 30 million in 2006.
